Please join us in welcoming Steffi Teo to our Engineering team as the newest UI/UX Designer!
Steffi joins us having most recently worked in the education field. In her role here at Teslar Software, Steffi will be using her expertise to improve the user experience of Teslar's products. We chatted with Steffi and asked her a few “getting to know you” questions to help us get better acquainted:
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
After a busy day, I like to cook and eat with my family, and once the kids go to bed, I like to do mindless things. Most days, that involves scrolling through TikTok, watching TV, and sometimes working on a puzzle, especially if they’re Disney themed from Thomas Kinkade. To wrap up the day, I like to read young adult dystopian or romance books.
What’s your favorite TV show—the one you’re always watching on repeat?
There are so many! My all-time favorite that I can watch over and over is Friends. But I also love a good drama, like Grey’s Anatomy, even though that show is absolutely ridiculous and outlandish.
If you could only have three apps on your smartphone, which would you pick?
WhatsApp to communicate with my family in Malaysia; TikTok because funny animals (need I say more?); and Spotify for music, true crime podcasts, and Brene Brown and Glennon Doyle.
What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?
I grew up in Malaysia, and a lot of food that people consider weird is not to me. But I think I once ate turtle soup when I was a kid, and I grew up eating durian. Some other things I’ve eaten are sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and octopus.
